'Black Panther' Nominated For Best Picture At The Oscars 2019
WAKANDA FOREVER.
On Tuesday morning, Marvel's 'Black Panther' made history by becoming the first ever superhero film to cop an Oscar nomination for Best Picture. After the debacle with the creation of the 'Popular Film' category, many fans saw this as an excuse for the ultra-popular film not to be nominated for the top spot. Thankfully, the Oscar board saw reason and nominated the flick.
'Black Panther' also racked up another six nominations for Production Design, Costume Design, Sound Mixing, Sound Editing, Original Score, and Original Song. It's up against the following movies for Best Picture:
- Bohemian Rhapsody
- BlaKkKlansman
- A Star Is Born
- The Favourite
- Green Book
- Roma
- Vice
