Glen 'Big Baby' Davis Charged With Assault
Former Celtics star Glen “Big Baby” Davis has been charged with felony assault from a physical altercation in West Hollywood early this year.
The 32-year-old NBA player was arrested in May on suspicion of "beating up" a man outside a nightclub. Davis nearly hit the victim with his vehicle before physically attacking the man in a parking lot. The victim in question was hospitalized with major injuries; facial fractures, broken teeth and ribs.
Davis has been officially charged with felony assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury. If found guilty and convicted, the 'Big Baby'could spend up to seven years in jail. On Thursday, his charges will be read in court and Davis will announce how he wishes to plea.
In February, Glen Davis was indicted and arrested on seven counts of drug possession and distribution after authorities found him with 126 grams of marijuana and over $92,000 cash. These charges are still pending.
Davis played in the NBA for eight seasons before retiring in 2015.
