Ninja Says Drake Made Gaming Mainstream & Cool
Tyler Blevins, a.k.a Ninja, one of the biggest Fortnite streamers, is maybe most well known for that video game he played this year with none other than Drake, Travis Scott and JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Considering the stream hit a peak of 600,000 viewers, it makes sense as to why in a new interview Ninja has credited Drake for the rising popularity of gaming. “Drake, that is what pushed gaming into the mainstream and made it cool,” Ninja told Variety.
Still, gaming enthusiasts are rightly upset at this statement, considering "gaming" has been intensely popular since the 90s. Considering Ninja is known as the most popular gamer in the world, you'd think he'd hold his tongue on a statement like this.
